So desperate for the money

You lose all integrity

To embrace yourself

You must embrace your past

I can’t help but feel stagnant 

as I continue to watch everyone lives their lives 

Whilst I feel so behind

Is there anything I can do

To get back on track?

How long do you give 

When it wasn’t right from the start?

I’ve always wanted to be part of a family that could build me up - ‘you’re stronger than this’, ‘you know you can strive for more’

Hasn’t this happened to me before?

Being so depressed that I project  my fantasy on to someone?

Codependency is a mental illness 

and you make me mentally ill

Be the ‘yes’ to all your childhood ‘no’s
