No One Cares Anymore

How can a child

So innocent

With big blue eyes

See into me

More than anyone else

See the hurt inside

More than anyone else

See the sadness and hunger

For another life

For something to change

Or things to go better

I’m always drawn to this kind of weather

Life has been loud, thunder storms

These past few years

The sky so grey

Always in dismay

I think I’ll be this way

Forevermore

Sometimes I can’t even pick myself off the floor

I’m always wishing for something more

But I’m pretty sure

All my friends and family have heard this one before

I don’t seem to feel that no one cares
