I can’t deny

that I’ve become hardened

to your love

so hard in fact

I’ve turned into a wall

a sledgehammer couldn’t break me down

even if you tried

because your love left me untied

for I am nothing but a shell

a body made of stone

a circus made of rock

you fill me up with debris

made of pebbles

and I drown into the water 

of our past and present
