The Beast

I knew it would happen to someone

I just didn’t know it would be me

Just like Frankenstein’s monster

I just couldn’t deter

To be honest

It feels a blur

And I’ve been left with no allure

Broken and defeated

They’ve played the beast

I once was

But not all creatures are evil

It doesn’t mean you’ll be one

Just like our concept

Of good and bad

Makes people rather sad

Nothing wrong with having a little demon

To keep you safe from Eden

Not all places are so heavenly
